Your lease is a contract between you and your landlord. A lease can be for a short term (as little as one month) or long term, and it can be written or oral -- although a lease for more than a year must be in writing to be legally enforceable. Some people use the phrase "rental agreement" to describe a short or oral lease for which rent is typically paid once a month and the tenancy can be terminated on a 30-day written notice. To avoid confusion, we'll stick to the word "lease." .

You're gonna lie and BULLSHIT spew to get elected. It is a ruse. A con. Very few of the politicians elected to federal office have any concern whatsoever about the ideology that they rode on to get there.
Jurors see chilling photos of dead baby
After hearing the district attorney paint a grim picture of Iyonna Brown's short, poverty-filled life, a jury Tuesday morning saw graphic photo after graphic photo of the 10-month-old after she died. Some images showed the baby's cherub face - chubby cheeks, thick, dark hair, eyes closed as though she were asleep. Her right eye appeared swollen and bruised. Another bruise had settled in above her left eye, and her chin was scraped and bruised. Some photos showed a single leg, badly burned, the skin sloughed off. One showed her blistered and reddened genital area. Another, showed one of her eyes held open with a medical device, a spot of blood in the white of her eye. It was a jarring start to the trial of the baby's alleged killer, Akeem Whitfield, 24, who is charged with second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter.

Not far away, a massive construction project also is under way at Michigan Stadium. "I guess you could say change is in the air," Rodriguez said Thursday morning at Schembechler Hall. Rodriguez has gone back to school at Michigan, welcoming the 1969 team to speak to the team last week and more than 200 former players this weekend.

Actor Tom Cruise is among the 1,500 buyers of the limited-edition motorcycle. "Somebody put it as 'the thinking man's Harley,' " says Greg Mellinger, owner of MCC Motor Cycle Center, a European motorcycle dealership in Villa Park. At least two Chicago-area collectors are on the list for the Desmosedici, but both, through Mr. Mellinger, declined to be interviewed. Tribune Co. Chairman and CEO Sam Zell, a well-known Ducati fan who attempted to buy the motorcycle company in 1996, declined to comment on whether he was one of them.

If there is such a thing as a profile of a mass murderer, Steven Kazmierczak didn't fit it: outstanding student, engaging, polite and industrious, with what looked like a bright future in the criminal justice field. And yet on Thursday, the 27-year-old Kazmierczak, who had ties to Florida, armed himself with three handguns and a brand-new pump-action shotgun he had carried onto campus in a guitar case. He stepped from behind a screen on the stage of a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University and opened fire on a geology class, killing five students before committing suicide. University Police Chief Donald Grady said, without giving details, that Kazmierczak had become erratic in the past two weeks after he had stopped taking his medication. But that seemed to come as news to many of those who knew him, and the attack itself was positively baffling.
